Photo Tour/Workshops

Inspiring Possibilities.  Expanding Your Vision.

Door County's Fall Colors

Date: October 12-15, 2017

Join Randy for a four-day sunburst of color this October as we explore and photograph Door County, Wisconsin and its many wonders.  This narrow peninsula surrounded by Lake Michigan has often been labeled by travel magazines as the, "Cape Cod of the Midwest."  It boast 300 miles of craggy shoreline, and has the second-highest concentration of lighthouses in the U.S.  With its high cliffs, abundant forests, extensive beaches, Door County dressed in autumn splendor is truly a color playground for the impassioned photographer.

This photographic foray will take us to a most colorful world where time seems suspended as we pass through forest, farm fields and orchards ablaze with autumnal tints of scarlet reds, vibrant oranges, and dazzling yellows.  A nature, landscape and macro photographer's paradise!  We will visit quaint towns and slumbering fishing villages, which dot the peninsula surrounded by dramatic shorelines.  Randy begins the workshop with a visual presentation titled, Seeing Intently.  In his own words, "It is only with great seeing that we can create great images.  Fine tuning our seeing and learning to extract and eliminate the superfluous from our visual frame, is the key to successful image capture."  Randy's goal is to change the way you see the world with your camera!  During the evenings, Randy will review your best selected images of the day and offer constructive commentary to help elevate your photography and increase your visual perception.

Of course, we will slow our pace to sample sun-kissed apples, drink warm cider, taste seasonal jams and jellies, and more at the plentiful farm markets throughout Door County.  Our last evening together will center on a traditional outdoor "fish boil" under the twinkling night sky.

Class size is limited to only 10 participants to allow for a more intimate and rewarding workshop experience.
